KarmaKarma is generally associated to the consequences of your actions, that in time you will reap the aftereffects of your deeds.

Do You Believe In Karma?

Karma is popularly and simply understood as, doing something good benefits good things to happen, and if you do bad, evil things may be expected to come your way.  In general, most people look at it as something undesirable.  Regardless of whether you believe it or not, it exists.  Karma plays an important role in the daily experiences of life.  It may not be present in your vocabulary, but still it incessantly lingers.

As human being, we tend to be stubborn and dislike being reprimanded.  And in doing so, oftentimes we learn life’s lesson the hard way.  There is nothing wrong with it actually.  But to learn the hard and sometimes, bitter way is another.  And experiencing it again and again, over and over, is still another matter.  Have you been into some situations wherein the whole picture is overly familiar already?  If so, have you asked yourself what seemed to conspire to have you in the same circumstance more than once or twice.  If you ask some people about such thing, you will be given answers like, “that’s karma,” or “that is how it should be.”  These responses are epitome of the lack of comprehension about karma.

It is understandable and acceptable to repeatedly run into something again after the first time. But to take part in it for more than twice already is more likely to form a habit in you.  Usually, we fathom things based on the surroundings, people we relate to and the given circumstances.  Sometimes, things happen without us understanding of what is going on.  Now, do you think it is karma?

Karma is universally taken as an aftermath of previous behaviors and deeds.  This is the most common and most renowned meaning given to karma.  But is it really?  Karma deals in relation to the cause and effect law wherein every single thing that happened to you had an earlier cause.  In other words, karmic law states that you can be the master of your own destiny, that you can summon things to happen based on your actions.  This is to say that karma is just a phase of lessons and experiences that you meet at every cross roads in your life.  It is how you react and take into account these life’s experiences that will determine your views on karma.

Most people fear karma because they do not know what good they will benefit from it.  But if you wait for life itself to present it to you, you will be more acquainted with it, and in turn gain a better understanding on the matter, as well as its unfavorable side.  However, if you take it lightly and accept karma as so much a part of life, you may even be able to take advantage of it in your daily experiences and all through the course of life.

To put it simply, karma exists in each of us.  It moves us around and is comprised of the events that have already happened and will happen.  This is so, since every thing you did is retained within your sub-consciousness and in time, will resurface again.  This explains the familiarity of occurring things, or those instances you thought has thrown itself back to you.

Karma is not fate in another form.  According to the beliefs of the Hindu, if you sow amicable things in your life, therefore, you will harvest bounteous wonders.  But if you sow evil, then evil you will reap.  All in all, karma is an implication of the totality of your actions, in both your past and present.  These actions are said to determine effectively what the future has in store for you.  Karma is entirely impersonal.  It is neither a retribution nor a punishment.  Rather, it is an extended interpretation of one’s natural acts.
