Will the crash of Air France flight 447 mean a reduction in air travel? With the mystery surrounding the crash it is possible that the airline industry could see a decrease in travelers in the coming months. The most affected will probably be smaller companies that do not have much business anyway, with the larger companies suffering only slightly. The Plane that crashed was considered to be a relatively safe plane, which brings about more reason for concern. The questions surrounding the crash include: Why was there no warning of a crash? Why did the pilots not have contact before the crash. And what caused the crash? The answers to these questions may never be answered however they may need educated guesses before airline travel will pick up again. Success stories such as the miracle on the hudson are hopefully going to increase the amount of air travel however setbacks such as the crash of flight 447 are sure to decrease interest in airline travel. Airline travelers should have no reason to fear because of the unlikelihood of an airline crash. The crash of flight 447 was most likely due to an unrecognized mechanical problem that was missed by a careless inspector. This does not mean all inspectors are careless, it simply means that one careless inspector missed a major problem and caused a tragic accident. It is not to be assumed that Air France itself is at fault it is just a mistake that a careless inspector made and did not fix. The crash of Air France flight 447 will not at all be easily forgotten by anyone.
