The need for clean diesel is so pressing right now that it just cannot be denied any longer. Fortunately, many car companies all over the world are now joining the wagon in the promotion of clean diesel technology. But this is not something that you can expect to happen in bulk for the next months or so. This is because there are certain periods of transition auto companies have to go through, just to get it on with the campaign for the production of cars and automobiles that are friendly to the environment.

Personally, I did not use diesel as fuel, as appealing as it may be as an alternative fuel source to gasoline. This is because there have been a lot of negative feedbacks on diesel engines. So, what can we do to pave the way towards the growing usage of diesel, and not gasoline? This is quite simple actually. As mere citizens, we can do more than enough by just increasing public awareness of the positive benefits and advantages people can enjoy when they start employing diesel engines. One way to do this is to promote how such usage can actually produce fewer pollutants. With the pressing problem of pollution in our midst, this should be a nice ring to anyone’s ears, you know. Once you catch a person’s attention about this aspect, you can then proceed to explaining how a lot of research studies have yielded results showing a significant reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases by diesel engines. When you compare such emission rates to that of gasoline engines, you will definitely see just how extensive the difference is! By making people more aware of this, you actually have a hand in allowing the conversion from the usage of gasoline engines to diesel engines. If more and more people would do this, then there would indeed be more room for progress!

And Germany’s very own household name, the Volkswagen, is not far off the list of car companies promoting clean diesel engines as well. The very first in their product line is the Tiguan, which will be released this 2008! Now, this is indeed one great way to welcome the year ahead! Kudos to VW for their perfect timing! The exhaust system of the Tiguan has been developed in such a way that it would only emit clean gases. If you want to know how the Tiguan looks like, it actually bears a striking resemblance to its older brother, the Touareg. And just like its older brother, the Tiguan is expected to be as efficient as any SUV VW has been producing in its product line.

With these many attractive clean diesel alternatives, the switch should not be difficult to make. Just take a look at the many benefits not only you would enjoy, but your children and their children as well. That should be more than enough motivation for anyone already.
