The Rage About Margaret Cho

I personally never heard of Margaret Cho but she seems to the the rage right now. Her birth name is Moran Cho, born from Korean parents and they settled in San Francisco Calif. where she was raised, in the Haight district.

This woman is phenomenal. Her achievements are many. She started out as a stand up comedian, at the young age of 16. She developed her comedy material doing local clubs. A lot of the material she developed growing up in San Francisco.

Margaret Cho is multi talented she has not only done comedy, but she has done acting, she is a recording artist, a fashion designer and has done some directing as well. She is very active in political and social issues.

She was critized for being anti-Bush and she was not shy with her remarks. When asked about her tattoo's she claimed to say that she has between 15-20 % of her body covered in tattoos.

She often impersonates her mother on stage due to her very thick Korean accent, and still to this day, her mother thinks that she is a lesbian.

Margaret Cho promotes equal rights, growing up she was exposed to Gays and Drag Queens and has empathy for them. She is not shy about discussing sexuality, sex, or her political views on her material.

In 2000, she was awarded the Golden Gate Award from the Gays and Lesbians Alliance against Defamation (GLAAD) group.

April 30, 2008- The American Liberties Union declared it "Margaret Cho Day" in San Francisco.

She is racy, outspoken and caring. It has been said that you never quite know what to expect from Margaret when you are at one of her shows. She truly entertains you.

She is popular amongst most of Hollywood's celebrities.
