Every single person is entitled to his or her own opinion. It does not matter on what issue or situation there might be for the same holds true: we are all entitled to our own opinion. Of course, there are times when our opinion would not jive as well with that of others. As unique as we are, we would definitely view situations differently at times. And this is pretty inevitable as they come.
This is absolutely nothing to fret about, though. If you think about it, different opinions actually make good topics for forums! They also provide a great platform for knowing people a little bit more! I personally revel at the times when a friend of mine has a different opinion on something, say dating. As we share views and such, I would come to know my friend at a deeper level. It also gives me that certain level of satisfaction that my friend holds me worthy enough to share her beliefs to. Dating may seem a trivial topic, but this triviality can indeed lead to something deeper in a jiff! Especially if we can find a common ground for our differing opinions as well!
This is precisely why I encourage the endeavor of making opinions count. Personally, I like the idea of sharing my opinion regarding a particular subject to a lot of people. Not only do I get to express myself this way, but I also get to see things from all sorts of perspective! Celebrate differences is how the ol’ cliché goes, and I am all for it right now! We do not really need to see everything eye to eye at all times! And this is the beauty of having unique opinions, because these are all true and encompassing in their own right.
This brings me to my next sentiment, which is making your opinion count. Now, you don’t really have to go door to door and share your opinions with your next-door neighbors on, let’s say, the ongoing oil price hike. Believe it or not, even if your neighbors know you personally and you share such trivialities during holidays and such, unsolicited information would be far from welcome.
However, there are indeed a lot of options for anybody to share their opinions and make them count. Blogs, for starters, make a great and effective method for this. The advent of Internet technology has equipped us with the ability to share our thoughts and beliefs on just about anything with just about anyone who is connected to the web. Blogs are the online counterparts of the typical journal. Personal blogs are indeed the perfect platform for expressing your thoughts on anything under the sky. You can even share your thoughts on trivial matters, just like dating! By posting your blog entries and configuring your settings accordingly, anyone who is logged on to the Internet can access them right away. They would then be able to read your views on dating.
The great thing about these blog sites is that they also provide a platform for forums to take place. Visitors can drop comments regarding whatever your post is all about, and the sharing of opinions can further take place. I personally maintain two blogs, which have indeed garnered much attention from my visitors. And I like the intellectual exchanges my contacts and I engage in. Blogs have also given me more chances to make new friends. Well, I don’t really know each and everyone of the people I meet online personally. But there is something refreshing about sharing opinions with people you have not really met. You have fewer inhibitions when you share such with them since they do not really know you thoroughly. Thus, you are able to share more without fear of being judged for holding such opinions! I cannot speak for everyone, but this is also a personal opinion of mine right here.
