| About me: | I am a fulltime school teacher in the fields of math and science. My master's degree is Reading Specialist. I enjoy working with people. In the past year I have started working parttime as a landscaper assistant and am having a blast! We are currently starting an internet business selling greenhouses. Landscaping, gardening, backyard ponds, fountains, and teaching--what a wonderful mix! As a teacher I am enjoying teaching my students math and science through greenhouses. This is a brand new adventure, which (of course), stems from my parttime job. My students are 5th - 8th grade. They are exciting to watch as they learn from their new found friends -- plants! I love hands on. It is the way I learn best. I am not amazed to learn my students also learn best this way. We are probably the noisest class in school, but we are also one of the busiest. I don't have to pressure most of my students to work (as long as I stay away from book and pencil.) They will jump right in and get started. What I do have to problems with is time. There is never enough. When my students walk in they immediately start checking their projects, measuring and taking notes. |
